RSL Victoria’s State President’s Forum – recording available now
RSL Victoria would like to thank the Sub-Branch Presidents, Secretaries and delegates who joined the online State President’s Forum on Thursday 26 February.

As part of the forum, RSL Victoria State President Dr Mark Schröffel discussed the State Executive’s key priorities for 2026, which included an extensive focus on the Transformation Project.

The project’s priorities were highlighted, along with reinforcement that extensive collaboration is required with the Sub-Branch network for the project to succeed.

State President Forums, Transformation Project Advisory Panels and the establishment of the FAQ webpage are just some of ways we seek Sub-Branch expertise in local veteran, family and community needs.

Women Veteran Forums Report launched at RSL Victoria’s International Women’s Day
As part of celebrating International Women’s Day, RSL Victoria launched its Women Veteran Forums Report at ANZAC House on 4 March 2026.

The report comes after the Federal Government funded the Women Veteran Forums that were conducted across the state by RSL Victoria in late 2025.

Hosted by RSL Victoria State Executive Member Pelagia Markogiannakis, the event saw State Vice President Lynn Mizen present the findings and recommendations of the report, as well as a powerful discussion between herself and veteran Stacey Bernardin from Wodonga RSL Sub-Branch, who generously shared her story of service as a woman in the Australian Defence Force.

The event was attended by representatives from RSL Sub-Branches across Victoria, along with women who participated in the forum series.

Applications for the Premier’s Spirit of the ANZAC Prize 2026 are now open.

The Premier’s Spirit of ANZAC Prize study tours aim to connect young Victorians with the legend and spirit of Anzac, which symbolises the courage and sacrifice of Australian service people.

The Prize offers young Victorians the opportunity to join a fully funded study tour to significant war heritage sites in Türkiye, allowing students to explore Australia's wartime and peacekeeping history whilst connecting with veterans and the ex-service community.
