Dear Doncaster RSL President and Secretary, The State President of the Returned & Services League of Australia (Victorian Branch) Inc., Dr Mark Schröffel, on resolution passed by the State Executive, formally convenes the RSL Victoria Extraordinary Conference, commencing at 5:00pm on Monday 30 November 2026.The Extraordinary Conference will be an online event only. You can now access a link to a Dropbox folder HERE that contains the following documents for you to download in preparation for the Extraordinary Conference:

The Constitution to be adopted by Returned & Services League of Australia (Victorian Branch) Limited upon registration as a company limited by guarantee under Part 5B.1 of the Corporations Act 2001 (Cth) (Annexure A to Notice) (Doc 2).
Supporting Explanatory Note (Doc 3).
Proforma Notice of Sub-Branch Ordinary General Meeting for Sub-Branch use (Doc 4).
Sub-Branch Form of Appointment of Proxy (Doc 5).

Important Information Nomination of Sub-Branch Delegates The Sub-Branch may nominate any Service or Life member of the Sub-Branch to represent their members at the Extraordinary Conference as the Sub-Branch Delegate [State Branch Rule 8.4(a)].Where no Life or Service members of the Sub-Branch are available to act as a Sub-Branch Delegate, an Affiliate member who is either a member of the Sub-Branch Committee or the holder of a Sub-Branch appointment may be appointed the Sub-Branch Delegate [State Branch Rule 8.4 (b)(2)].It is important to note that, unless they are appointed as a proxy, a Sub-Branch Delegate who is an Affiliate member is not permitted to speak or vote on any matter relating to the proposed new Constitution [State Branch Rule 8.4(b)]. Number of Sub-Branch DelegatesA Sub-Branch is entitled to appoint one or more Sub-Branch Delegates in accordance with the following table [State Branch Rule 8.4 (c)].

The number of Sub-Branch Delegates will be based on the list of financial Sub-Branch Service, Life and Affiliate members held by the State Branch as of 30 September 2026.

Registration Details
With this year's Extraordinary Conference being online only, Sub-Branches are requested to make all efforts to complete the Online Registration Form (see below) with their Sub-Branch Delegate(s) details as soon as they can, but no later than 16 November 2026.Early registration will result in Sub-Branch Delegates receiving any further information regarding the Extraordinary Conference (e.g. training videos for those attending online).Only registered Sub-Branch Delegates will receive the Microsoft Teams link to participate in the Extraordinary Conference. All Sub-Branch Delegates must be registered no later than 5:00 pm Monday 16 November 2026.

DVA Gym Program

Here is a photo from the gym this morning of local veterans taking advantage of the program available from DVA and if you're not aware of the program the following is an overview and if you are interested contact your Wellbeing officer for details. The DVA Gym Program is an initiative run by the Australian Government Department of Veterans' Affairs (DVA) to support the health and wellbeing of eligible veterans and some dependants. It provides clinically supervised exercise programs designed to improve strength, mobility, fitness, and overall physical and mental health. Participants receive an individualised exercise plan created by qualified health professionals, such as exercise physiologists or physiotherapists, based on their specific needs and medical conditions. The program is typically available to veterans with certain accepted service-related conditions, and access requires a referral from a GP or specialist along with DVA approval. Overall, the DVA Gym Program aims to help veterans maintain independence, recover from injury, and enhance quality of life through safe, structured physical activity.
